About the Australian Hearing Services Program
Subsidised Hearing Aids and Hearing Services
If you are found eligible for the Australian Hearing Services Program (HSP), EarDeals will provide you with high-quality, fully funded hearing aids. There are approximately 250 fully subsidised hearing devices from a range of brands on the current Hearing Services Program product list.
Choosing the perfect device from the right provider
All major manufacturers have devices on the Hearing Services Program (HSP) list. When it comes to choosing a hearing aid from this list, it’s wise to remember that not all hearing aids are the same.
Every hearing aid listed on the program offers different features and benefits to those living with hearing loss. For example, some can connect through Bluetooth to a mobile phone, where others do not. Some perform better for larger hearing loss than others.
Over 90% of Australian hearing clinics are owned by hearing aid manufacturers. When it comes to deciding on a registered provider to fit your fully funded hearing aid, take note of who is providing this service. It might be best to ask what brands are available and if the company fitting the device is owned by the manufacturer who makes the hearing aids.
EarDeals is independent of hearing aid manufacturers
EarDeals is not owned by a hearing aid manufacturer, so we can stock the hearing aid brands that our Audiologists consider the best on the market – no matter what brand they are!
At the end of the day, the most important factor to us is client satisfaction. Retaining this satisfaction means giving you the choice to decide what hearing aids suit your needs and preferences best. Not every hearing loss is the same and not every lifestyle is the same.
Understanding your hearing test results
The first step on your journey is determining the level of hearing loss. This is done through a full diagnostic hearing test. Once the test has been completed, your results will be explained to you in detail. Regardless of the outcome, it is important to understand your hearing levels and the results. Not all hearing losses are the result of age and noise exposure and further analysis of your health may be required.
Once the level of your hearing loss has been determined, your EarDeals Audiologist will provide you with information regarding the next step.
If this next step does include a hearing aid, you are under no obligation to accept, should you not be interested or not ready yet. It is ok to go home and think about it! If you decide you would like a hearing aid, you can book an appointment for a fully funded hearing aid fitting.
